Novemba' 13, 1998 I've posted an downdate uh Neil on de waaay downloads page. Try it out and let me know if it wo'ks o' violently crashes on yo' pc. Co' got d' beat! :-) ah' can't test 15 o' 24 bit graphics modes on mah' hardware, so's some sucka please tell me if dey wo'k. Ya' know? Neil duz not wo'k on Permedia 2 video cards fo' some reason (too baaaad, Monty). Impressive: here's some moshun blur demo ah' cooked down.

Novemba' 10, 1998 Finally gots Linear Frame buffers wo'kin' co'rectly. Slap mah fro!.. DPMI calls is so much fun! Right on! :-P But now ah' notice dat da damn run-lengd encoded sprites are posishuned inco'rectly in higher-dan-8-bit modes... and now we's digtin' Causeways! Right on! Wheee! Right on! . . . Ah, dat fixed it. Man! Yay! Right on!

Novemba' 9, 1998 I've added Linear Frame Buffa' suppo't mah' in-crib version uh Neil... but its still buggy. Slap mah fro!.. ah' dink de address is a half screen off cuz' de downpuh' part be all brother. Funky, but ah' might hack sump'n and post da damn code lata' today (likes afta' I dig some sleep).

Octoba' 18, 1998 Finally downgraded mah' pc, dig dis: new moderbo'd and case wid an AMD K6-2 300 chip, 128MB ram, Creative Labs Graphics Blaster Riva TNT pci video card... quite some leap fum some 486, eh? I'll neva' have to scribble optimized code eva' again! Right on! HAHAHAHA! Preach it loud, bruddah!! Right on! Some doodads ah' hope t'be wo'kin' on, dig dis: Neil graphics engine, some rescribble uh Petepho'ia, and OpenGL wrappuh's fo' 'esw, so cut me some slack, Jack.

Septemba' 26, 1998 Well, I'm back at farm and eyebally to learn again now dat mah' brain gots fo'gotsten everydin' ah' learned last year. Ah be baaad... Septemba' 3, 1998 Neil.e downdated on de waaay downloads page. Since Neil be gettin' Mode_X suppo't, dere gots'ta probably not be any mo'e wo'k done on Mode_X 3. But not t'wo'ry, future versions uh Neil will benefit fum Mode_X's fast copy, clear copy, and mix copy commands. Virtual screens and sub-screens is shapin' down too. 'S coo', bro. Dese screens wll have pannin' capability (basically some way t'move lots uh sprites widout havin' t'mess wid each individual sprite command. Used wid sub-screens, it's great fo' parallax. Slap mah fro!) De quesshun uh how mixcopy will wo'k in true-colo' gots not been determined, dough lightmaps and simple blendin' deo'etically should wo'k. Ya' know? De load_bitmap funcshun be done, and converts between colo' depds smood as silk. Ya' know? :-)

August 31, 1998 Downdated--> news regardin' de po'table Eupho'ia interpreter. Version 0.10 be now available! Right on! (bugfixes and smalla' exe stashs.)
